Project Coordinator/Assistant (Thailand)

About the Position

Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator/Assistant based in Bangkok, Thailand to support the delivery of SCG’s capacity building projects worldwide. This position reports to SCG’s Core Logistics Team, coordinates with project staff at headquarters and other SCG locations, and represents the organization in stakeholder engagements.  The Project Coordinator/Assistant plays an essential role in ensuring that all event logistics are delivered to a high standard of excellence. This position supports the planning and delivery all in-country, regional, and international travel and all event logistics, including engaging with facility, interpretation, and catering vendors.  

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Ideal candidates will have the knowledge and experience to support all logistical and operational aspects of event planning and execution; excellent communications skills (written and oral); ability to engage with senior officials; and experience with U.S. security assistance programs and/or U.S. Embassy programs and processes, including Leahy vetting and travel requirements. Specifically, candidates must be:

  • Located in Bangkok and willing to work across multiple time zones and coordinate with a HQ-based team to provide responsive and timely logistics services. 
  • Fluent in English. Proficient in at least one other language (Thai, Spanish, French preferred).
  • Experienced in event logistics, planning, and execution, including coordinating and negotiating with vendors, hotels, and venues.
  • Familiar with U.S. government grant procurement and travel regulations.
