About the Position
Strategic Capacity Group (SCG) is seeking to hire a Program Officer or Senior Program Officer to serve as Program Manager for SCG’s Forensics capacity building programs in the Caribbean. This position will report to the Director of Programs and manage project staff, consultants, and technical experts. The Senior Program Officer is responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of all project activities in accordance with grant/donor requirements and their Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) to capture output, outcomes, and impact. This position ensures the quality control of project design and project deliverables, the optimal use of project resources, the timely implementation flow of project activities, and effective stakeholder engagement and management.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
The ideal candidate will have experience managing or independently conducting projects, ideally in the Caribbean and/or Latin America. Relevant experience includes substantive work in the following: project design, project planning and implementation, budget management and forecasting, budget realignments, knowledge of federal grant guidelines (2CFR 200), quarterly reporting, M&E, and subject matter expert (SME) management and recruitment. Additionally, candidates will have knowledge and experience designing and implementing effective capacity building approaches and experience working with or for the U.S. government or other international donors.
The right candidate should also be able to demonstrate effective communications skills, including experience training and engaging with high level security sector officials (e.g., police, ministry of interior, ministry of justice), the ability to produce quality written products, and excellent planning and team management skills.
